Easter Letter

 Easter is the feast of hope. Don Bosco, after so many troubles and so much hope, could start his oratory on the Easter of 1846 and dedicated the first chapel to the Resurrection. Our hope is that the coming of Jesus will open the heart of many rich people who refuse to share what they have accumulated in a dishonest way. We repeat to them the words of Don Bosco, so that Jesus may rise in them too.

"We two will share everything equally “.

At the Resurrection, a new community started in the world: the followers of Jesus. They did not fight for power, but they pledged to compete in service. What they had, they shared among themselves and for the poor.

Pope Francis, in a slum of Nairobi, in 2015, thanked the poor because they are able to share, while having so little for themselves.

                                    La Pasqua è la festa della speranza. Don Bosco, dopo tante fatiche e tante speranze, poté iniziare il suo oratorio nella Pasqua del 1846 e dedicò la prima cappella alla Resurrezione. La nostra speranza è che la venuta di Gesù apra il cuore di quei tanti ricchi che si rifiutano di condividere ciò che hanno accumulato in modo disonesto. Ripetiamo loro le parole di Don Bosco, perché Gesù risorga anche in loro.

"Noi due faremo sempre a metà in tutto ".

Alla Risurrezione di Gesù è iniziata nel mondo una nuova comunità: i seguaci di Gesù. Non hanno combattuto per il potere, ma si sono impegnati a competere nel servizio. Quello che avevano, lo condividevano tra loro e per i poveri. Papa Francesco, in una baraccopoli di Nairobi, nel 2015, ha ringraziato i poveri perché sanno condividere, pur avendo così poco per sé stessi.
